Don’t want to miss school? Out of town? Too busy to make an appointment? Need a prescription refilled? You may be able to visit your provider virtually through the MyChart portal. It’s quick, secure, and covered by most insurance plans. With an evisit, your provider can evaluate the condition and return a diagnosis and treatment plan within three (3) business days. If the treatment plan includes a prescription, it will be sent directly to your preferred pharmacy.
Important things to know about Evisits:
Evisits are not video visits. While video visits provide realtime communication through video, with evisits, medical care is provided in writing and may involve viewing still pictures.
If you would like a video visit, please call our office for an appointment.Not all problems can be managed with an evisit.
-Examples of problems that can be addressed with an evisit: Rashes, pink eye, some behavior problems.
-Examples of problems that CANNOT be addressed with an evisit: Cough and other respiratory infections, ear infections, most muscle and bone problems.*If you are not sure if an evisit is appropriate, you can call our office first.
In order to be eligible for an evisit, your child has to have been seen in our office since April 15, 2021.
Evisits are not for urgent problems. It may take up to three (3) business days to receive response from your provider.
Follow these Steps to get started with an evisit
Sign in to your MyChart account.
Navigate to Messaging tab and select “Ask a Question”
3. On the next page select “Message Your Provider.”
4. Accept Terms and Conditions
5. Select your provider from the drop down menu. (only providers you have seen in the last two years are available)
6. After confirming your demographic information, answer the questions.
7. Upload any images (optional)
